See day three.
Here are few recent pictures of Orussey Market in Phnom Penh. It’s a sprawling mega-market inside Phnom Penh.
Orussey Market is a fascinating place. There is always something going on, the light is interesting, and it’s got easily 500 people inside at any given time.
For shooting I am using a 35mm f/2 lens at 1⁄125 of a second and ISO 400 or 800. I alter light by varying the aperture. I shoot and review in black and white and then try to accomplish an edit in color which adds back in some of the detail lost with black and white.
I like this desaturated look. It’s grungy. I could photograph this market in color and make it pop, I could photograph it in black and white to make it look sullen and boring. I like the middleground.
